I am travelling to Taiwan at the end of the year and I am looking for a driver to fetch us around for three days. There were agencies which quoted me NTD 11, parking fees, road tolls, insurance all in for a Volkswagen Crafter for 11 pax just for one day. Is this rate reasonable? You might want to double-check your list of places to visit - last time I hired one of those mid-size vans the company charged extra for destination crossing multiple municipalities. Also you might want to know whether it means 8 hours input from the driver per day or whether there's overtime charges Yup I have a detailed itinerary planned out.
Just that it's difficult trying to find a Volkswagen Crafter with 11 seats. I heard that it's modified illegally but really not sure. The traffic police seems to be clamping down hard on vehicles which take in more passengers than they are allowed to.
I do have some contacts for 11 seater but I can't seem to find any reviews about their services so a bit skeptical as I need to make a downpayment for bookings. If I might suggest, try contacting better-known companies like e-go and check what they have to offer though you better cross your fingers trying to find an English-capable driver. You might have to negotiate a deal - like what I said, depending on how far and wide you plan to travel.
