I wanted to study physics ever since I was in grade 8. A decade later I find myself a teacher, doing whatever is in my ability to inspire the same kind of passion in my students whether it be in the classroom or beyond. I want them to explore a question that does not have a direct answer and in order to do that they must get comfortable with ambiguity.
When they are successful, their inquiries produce many new questions rather than one right answer. In this situation, students begin to think as scientists.
They are gaining the strategies and tools to solve problems in a real-life context. No amount of worksheets or textbooks can enable that opportunity. Changing perceptions is also a form of action.
