We were cautiously optimistic as the only warning indication on the dashboard was an air suspension caution. There was no check engine light and no codes being generated. There was one open recall on the car, so we arranged for a service appointment at an out of town Land Rover dealership to have it fixed, as there was no LR dealership nearby.
We also asked to have a thorough inspection done to see if anything else needed to be addressed. I absolutely do not doubt these repairs are necessary. As I said earlier I am not mechanically inclined and have to depend on the experts. But are the quoted prices in line with what should be expected for these repairs? My poor wife is devastated. Of course we should have done this check prior to buying the vehicle.
We called several mechanics in town, but none were familiar enough with Range Rovers to evaluate them. Not sure what to do at this point. Those quoted prices are dealership service department prices, so do you think an independent, competent mechanic could do it for less? I don't know. Simply put I would have donated the car if anything were over k lol.
I went to the dealer to do a recall and they found over 10k dollars worth of things that was wrong with it. I took a print out of all the diagnostics and went home and researched one by one and found it very easy to fix myself.
