Kazuri Necklaces
Kazuri ceramic necklaces
All of our Kazuri ceramic necklaces can be found here.
They come in a variety of lengths as shown in the description. Many of them have matching earrings or a bracelet, which you can see in the other ranges of Kazuri on offer at Bazaar Africa. Some of these are shown in the photographs, to give you an idea of what they look like together.
Please be aware that as every single bead is made individually by hand, they are all very slightly different. The glaze often has a ‘crackled ‘ effect, as seen in some of the photos. This all adds to the charm, and shows them to be hand crafted.
They can be worn in the evening, at a smart ‘do’, or equally well with jeans and a casual top.
Handmade pottery necklaces
Please have a look at this wonderful range of necklaces from Kazuri in Kenya.
These beads are all unique, being entirely handmade in a workshop just outside Nairobi, on land that once belonged to Karen Blixen of ‘Out of Africa’ fame. This area is now named ‘Karen’ in her memoryThis project was set up to help alleviate struggling single Mothers over 40 years ago, and continues to thrive today, employing around 300 women.
All Bazaar-Africa’s necklace designs are sourced directly from Karen, and are therefore not readily available outside Kenya, although other designs may be. As a result of sourcing them directly, Bazaar Africa is also able to offer them at very fair prices.
