This is the range specifically of ceramic Kazuri bracelets that we have. Each bracelet is of the wrap around style, which makes it flexible enough to fit any size of wrist. Many of the bracelets here have matching necklaces or earrings in the other Kazuri jewellery available, so do look at the entire range of ceramic from Kazuri.
Please be aware that as every single bead is made individually by hand, they are all very slightly different. The glaze often has a ‘crackled ‘ effect, as seen in some of the photos. This all adds to the charm, and shows them to be hand crafted
Look through our range of ceramic bracelets at Bazaar Africa, or use the main menu to look at the different categories of bracelets, or Kazuri in general. All of it is hand crafted in Kenya, at Karen. These Kazuri bead bracelets are spiral, so fitting any wrist comfortably, or can be worn around the upper arm. All the beads are hand made, before being fired and glazed, then re-fired. The beading workshop, where they are made, sits under the Ngong Hills in Kenya, and was founded by the late Lady Susan Wood – wife of one of the founders of the African Flying Doctors Service. Her wish was to bring employment to single mothers, so that they could earn a living wage. “Kazuri” means small and beautiful in Swahili.
We stock some handmade gift boxes – available below, which might fit your purchase, should it be for a special gift.
