Fabulous range of animal money boxes, all hand crafted in Swaziland.
Each box is entirely hand made by one of a small group of Swazi ladies. The animal is chosen, the general shape is then made. The animal then come to life with the fantastic bright designs and patterns hand painted on it. The animal money box is then heavily varnished, making it strong and durable. Each one is different, although the base colour is constant to each animal.
Many of us may remember trying to make something similar when we were young, but in all honesty, not many of us were able to achieve such beautiful results!
