African Arts and Crafts
See here the enormous range of African arts and crafts, which are all made for you, by craftspeople in Africa.
There are many and varied useful things to be found here, which are categorised as ‘functional crafts’. These might be a bright and cheery money box, a beaded hook for the wall, or something to put your candle in.
One of the specialities of our African arts and crafts, are the animals, mainly from South Africa. Do look at the range of beaded animals here on offer. Bazaar Africa stocks a large range of animals and insects all crafted in beads on wire frames. These range in size from our smallest geckos and mini elephants, to really large pieces like our dachshund dogs and peacock. All of these animals are individually made by many different craftsmen and women, so often once they are sold, they cannot be repeated. There are also some very original hand painted animals from Swaziland here as well
Following on from the beaded animal sculptures, do look here at the smaller, but equally varied range of keyrings. These all make super presents, as they also work well as zip pulls or to embellish handbags or backpacks.
There are still more things to browse, and the other bits and bobs section is continually changing, depending on what I find in my travels to Africa, so keep looking.
